Why would I willingly deploy bugs into my canopy?

We understand that deploying insects onto your plants can seem counter-intuitive, but there are many reasons why we recommend beneficials over sprays for your garden.

  • Zero Chemical Residue: Protects your buds from failing strict state compliance and lab testing.
  • Continuous Hunting: Bugs work 24/7, actively searching for hidden pests in the areas that sprays miss.
  • No Plant Stress: Eliminates the risk of chemical burn, moisture spikes, and clogged stomata leading to stunted growth.
  • Pest Resistance Proof: Pests can quickly become immune to chemical sprays, but they can never become immune to being eaten by a predator.
  • Prevention > Treatment: We recommend deploying beneficial insects on a preventative program to ensure biological security throughout the entire run.

Staying ahead of the problem will always guarantee success in the garden. By introducing beneficial insects, you will save time and labor hours as well as see an increased yield by reducing the pressure of harmful sprays on your plants. Still not convinced? Check out our Instagram page @plantsmangroup as well as our Customer Testimonials page of our website to hear from real people that use our beneficials.

To give you the best recommendation for your specific set up, call the office at 248-916-8550 to speak to a grower success specialist. You can also submit an inquiry on our contact us page. Someone from the team will get back to you within 24 hours of your request.

We highly recommend using any sprays before deploying beneficial insects as most IPM sprays are non-specific and will harm both pests and beneficials. If you have any questions about spraying and deploying beneficials, contact our office at 248-916-8550.

We source our beneficial insects globally. Because they are living organisms, strict deadlines ensure they are packed, shipped, and delivered with maximum viability.

  • Standard Schedule: Place and pay for your order by Thursday at 3:00 PM EST to ensure your bugs ship the following Wednesday for a Thursday delivery.
  • Missed Deadlines: Orders placed after the deadline may incur a $100 rush shipping fee.
  • Holidays: Deadlines may be expedited during holiday weeks. The Plantsman team will notify you via email of any expected changes the week prior to ensure that you receive your order in a timely manner.
  • Same-Week “Extras”: We occasionally have a limited supply of extra inventory available for same-week shipping. These are posted on our Instagram feed and sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Invoices will remain open for one hour after requesting extras. If they are not closed out within the hour, the requested bugs will no longer be on hold and can be sold to someone else. These bugs are in high demand, and their associated sales are time sensitive.

Shipping live organisms requires specialized, expensive shipping and handling, therefore:

  • Orders under $200 incur a $65 shipping fee.
  • All orders shipping to Alaska incur a $125 shipping fee.
  • Requested rush shipping incurs a minimum $100 fee.

Note: We do not ship outside of the United States.

We know how critical timing is for your release schedule. Every invoice will have a shipping date and an expected delivery date in the body of the email. You will receive a personalized tracking link via email within 24 hours of your package leaving our facility.

We will communicate transit delays as soon as we are notified. Please monitor your inbox for “shipping exception” emails, as extreme weather, carrier emergencies, or holidays can cause unexpected transit delays. For urgent updates, call our office at 248-916–8550.

  • Open your package immediately upon receival and verify that all items are present, in good condition, and if there are questions regarding the viability of your order, follow the steps outlined in the replacements policy.
  • Your tracking email will include a PDF with specific release instructions for each product that Plantsman group offers. If you need assistance with your first release, please contact your sales representative or call the office at 248-916-8550. For quick guides, visit our @plantsmangroup Instagram page and check out our release instructions Highlight.
  • Plantsman designs Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs to introduce beneficial insects and protect cannabis crops. Because our products are live organisms, we do not offer cash or credit refunds. However, we do offer product replacements for viability issues if replacement requests qualify and are properly submitted within the given timeline.
  • Open packages immediately on arrival.
  • Acclimate the product at room temperature for 1 hour to test viability. (Exception: Nematodes must go directly into the refrigerator immediately unless you are deploying them that day).
  • Inspect thoroughly for movement. Note that green lacewing eggs can take up to 24 hours to begin hatching and may not show signs of viability until then.
  • Record a video (30 seconds maximum) clearly showing the lack of movement or signs of life. If you are concerned about sachets specifically, open the sachet and dump the contents onto a flat surface to record the product’s viability.
  • Submit your request within 24 to 48 hours of delivery. Email the video to operations@plantsmangroup.com with “Replacement Request” in the subject line or send it directly to your sales representative.

Note: Approved replacements are subject to standard order deadlines and will be shipped on the soonest available ship date.
